You got to see this to believe it:
California-Governor-Arnold -Schwarzenegger and German-Chancellor-Angela-Merkel jointly holding a Lego-digital box-by-Metaio.
In the back, a mirror screen featuring an augmented version of California-Governor-Arnold-Schwarzenegger and German-Chancellor-Angela-Merkel holding the Lego-digital-box-by-Metaio, with an exploded view of the assembled Lego toy.
This must have been the highest concentration of top-rank political figures in a single augmented reality scene – ever to be captured on (digital) film.
I have covered the Digial Lego Box when it was fresh news – now see it in video (in German) on the Cebit site.
Next political AR picture challenge:
capture Obama holding hands with Putin while watching an augmented view of a peaceful Afghanistan.

Hehe :D
But whats the back story here?
Was the lego software by a California company?
@Darkflame – it was developed by Metaio (German company). I guess the governator was just visiting Cebit and was caught up in this photo op with the Chancellor.
Hey there.
I´ve got some more back story input. California is this year`s special guest at CeBIT and the governour was visiting the fair as representative and guest of Angela Merkel´s traditional CeBIT walk. And they have chosen to visit this demo (as a part of the “Microsoft World of Experience”) because german based company metaio also has an office in California and because it was representing “innovations made in Germany” – one focus of Angela Merkels traditional interests.
Best regards,
Jan
Cheers for the info :)
